The goalscorer, who had a goal disallowed for offside much earlier in the contest, also fired against a post late on. The point extends the home side's unbeaten run to seven games, their longest such streak since over two decades ago, and takes them eight points clear of the relegation zone. For the Manchester United though, it was yet another chance to move into fourth spot, albeit only for a short time, wasted. Manchester United Breakdown: Amorim's Side Misfire Again With the Africa Cup of Nations reaching its latter stages, the United coach could be forgiven for hoping the participating nations make a pretty quick exit. Current injuries to skipper Bruno Fernandes and Three Lions star Mason Mount only exacerbated the impact the unavailability of other forwards is having on Amorim's squad. It's not that the missing pair are the solution to all of United's problems. After all, they were part of the side that experienced poor results earlier in the campaign. But without them, the boss has few attacking options. He evidently does not have full faith in youngster Shea Lacey or the seasoned Joshua Zirkzee, even though the Netherlands forward delivered the through ball for the equaliser almost immediately after his arrival as a replacement. That leaves the Brazilian, who has now scored three goals in five games, and others playing out of their natural positions, alongside Sesko. On this evidence, the big-money frontman looks no better than previous underwhelming signings, lacking in belief and conviction in front of goal. Sesko's failure to turn home the cross means it is now nine games without a goal for the young striker. Leeds United Breakdown: Another Step Towards Safety After thrilling victories in their previous home games, the arrival of their biggest rivals to home was a bit drab affair. True, there were instances of typical fervor, but the intimidating edge was not as evident as in other fixtures. The home fans were more concerned about their side's inability to get worthwhile possession in advanced areas for any prolonged period. The Calvert-Lewin header that clipped the post was an isolated moment of quality in a tight first half. It still felt as though Leeds were finding it tough when a defensive error opened the door for the opener. For a short moment, The home delirious fans thought they were about to secure a coveted win against Manchester United. Nevertheless, there is a wider context for Daniel Farke and Leeds to deal with. When they endured a difficult run of form earlier in the campaign, many speculated about the manager's position. Instead, he is now masterminding clear improvement. The task is not completed yet but step by step, Leeds are getting nearer to securing their top-flight status.
