The Evolution of a Movement tends to be marked by distinct phases.

1. The Grand Vision

A charismatic leader or leaders propose a revolutionary approach pledging a cure for struggling players.

And so it goes. Preparations are underway to storm the compound down in Brisbane. Pressure is mounting. Conflict emerges from the sidelines. It’s the opener often seen addressing the media, out there looking like a happy little woodland creature smartly dressed, expressing thoughts like we’re challenging norms. Indeed, the energy, for quite a long time, was uplifting.

3. Expansion Period

Building period. Unity enforced via memorization of key phrases. These principles may seem irrational as a loyalty check.

Does anyone else feel? The backlash, the outrage, the disappointment post-defeat appears excessive, overdone. The batting collapsed on the field, as they often do in Australia. The players have been sealed up in this environment for years. Attempting to break free, to create a less brutal environment, they are just repeating their upbringing, creating another a bubble, a closed circle, but doing it this time with 15 cool guys and a leader who wants you to be yourself provided you conform.
